The Crucible serves as a hub for $DEGEN tipping moderators to discuss, regulate, and enforce tipping etiquette and game participation. Initially nominated by Wake, these mods exemplify the innovative spirit of tipping projects within Warpcast, while pushing the boundaries of growth and community building.

These moderators are now given a new power: ‘dedegen’, allowing them to define the standard of what constitutes quality tipping. Moderators can reply to a downvote-worthy cast with ‘dedegen’, and a quorum of five ‘dedegen’ replies nullifies all $DEGEN tips in a thread.

Other measures aiming to promote tipping integrity include public mod discussions on The Crucible, as well as adjustments of quorum requirements based on mod count, and an oversight from creators Jacek, Colton, and Wake. With a mod count of around twenty at launch (and expected to increase), how this affects tipping culture on Warpcast is yet to be seen.
