They’ve brought back older channel posts to user profiles and introduced a new tab in notifications specifically for channels. They’re also working on a new approach to make replies more inclusive. Looking ahead, the team aims to make it easier for users to request to join channels, giving channel owners flexibility in how they manage these requests. They’re also focused on simplifying the process of inviting people to channels directly from replies, messages, or profiles. Additionally, they’re exploring options for handling abandoned channels.

2. The Farcaster protocol fees have recently been reduced from $3 to $2. Now, if you’re using Warpcast, you can sign up with a $3 in-app purchase, which covers the $2 Farcaster fee and a $1 app store fee.

1. New on Direct Casts: You can now send expiring messages! Choose to set messages to disappear after 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or even 1 year. By default, messages are set to expire after 30 days. All Direct Cast chats have a maximum retention period of 1 year, as previously announced.
