MetaMask serves as a digital wallet, enabling access to blockchain applications and the decentralized finance ecosystem. It is offered both as a mobile application and a browser extension. While initially created for Ethereum network interactions, MetaMask supports multiple blockchain networks, including Vitruveo. This guide will walk you through establishing a MetaMask wallet and linking it with Vitruveo (VTRU).
Install Metamask Software Wallet
Open Your Metamask
Access Network Settings and Add Network
Tap on Manually Add Network
Paste the Necessary Information and Add Vitruveo.
Installing MetaMask is straightforward, simply download the wallet from its official site and then add the extension to your browser. MetaMask is compatible with various browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, and Brave, and it's also accessible for iOS and Android mobile users. While the setup process may vary slightly across different platforms, the overall instructions should be easy to follow.
Your Metamask wallet should be easily accessible in your extensions area once you have it downloaded. For quick and easy access, click the pin button.
Once you click Metamask and input your log-in details, you should now be able to access your wallet.
Once you are inside your Metamask Wallet, click on the three dots on the upper right section. This will open up a new window. Click the Expand View button to expand the wallet to a new browser page.
This will transport you to a new browser page, this time showing your full wallet. It should look like this.
Once you are in expanded view, you will notice that your wallet is connected to the Ethereum Mainnet by default. Since our goal is to connect your Metamask to the Vitruveo network, click on the Ethereum Mainnet dropdown on the top-left side of the image.
Once you've clicked the Ethereum Mainnet dropdown, it will allow you to add other custom networks. Click the Add Network button to add Vitruveo.
After clicking the Add Network button, you will be transported to this page.
Click the Add a network manually button in the lower part of the page.
Once you've clicked the add a network manually button, it should look like this.
Fill in the necessary technical information about Vitruveo by copying and pasting the information below:
Network Name: Vitruveo MainNet RC2
New RPC URL: https://rpc.vitruveo.xyz/
Chain ID: 1490
Currency Symbol: VTRU
Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.vitruveo.xyz/
Once done, click Save.
Once saved, you have successfully added Vitruveo to your Metamask Wallet! You can now switch your Metamask Wallet from Ethereum to Vitruveo.
This is how it should look like. Congratulations, you have successfully added Vitruveo to your Metamask.
Note: You will need to fund your MetaMask wallet with some VTRU to pay for transaction fees.
