Ambassadors Edition #136

We Are So Back.

After a two-week hiatus, the Ambassadors Newsletter is back and bursting with energy! Devcon was an unforgettable adventure, and we can’t wait to share all the exciting moments with you. Let’s dive in and get you caught up.

Devcon Mini Recap

Devcon was electric! Imagine being surrounded by over 12,000 people, all buzzing with ideas and passion for crypto. The energy was contagious, and it’s clear the onchain world is gaining momentum like never before. From innovative projects to brilliant builders, the event was a showcase of the future being built today.

One of our highlights was the Base Bangkok Meetup. We met Jesse, the creator of Base, and the amazing Base team. The excitement peaked when they announced the winners of the Based Regional Hackathon—a celebration of creativity and innovation. As the community representative for Base Philippines, it was incredible to connect with counterparts from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and beyond. The Base team’s message was clear: this is just the beginning, and the best is yet to come.

The Base presence at Devcon was everywhere—from their buzzing booth to hosting meetups, and two wildly popular Home Base events. Hundreds of attendees then flocked to their Base Around the World tour stops, including Singapore and the Philippines. We were thrilled to join the Philippines Base Meetup, where we reconnected with the Base team and celebrated the growing community. One of their goals for 2025 is to make creators and builders go viral, emphasizing the importance of amplifying the incredible work being done in the space. From what we saw, the world is slowly but surely turning “based,” and we’re all for it!

Another standout moment was the Farcaster Meetup in Bangkok. We finally got to meet builders we’d only known online, putting faces to the NFT profile pictures. The vibe was electric—no bots, just genuine connections! The Farcaster booth was a crowd favorite, onboarding hundreds of new users to the platform. And here’s the cherry on top: a few days after Devcon, it was announced that the next Farcon will be in NYC from May 1-4, 2025. Mark your calendars because it’s going to be epic!

  1. Farcaster Shares Proposed Timeline for Frames v2 Release

The Farcaster team has shared a proposed schedule for the rollout of Frames v2, prioritizing a fast release to meet community demand. Key milestones include:

  • Nov 23: Mobile Playground

  • Nov 27: v0.0.0 (Alpha)

  • Dec 6: v0.1.0

Frames v2 will be iterative, gathering feedback from builders along the way. 1. ProxyStudio Shares Clanker Token Rewards Spreadsheet

Proxy Studio has released the Clanker rewards spreadsheet detailing the manual distribution of rewards for this one-time event. Key points include:

  • Pools earn fees on each swap, which accumulate over time and must be claimed. Many users have significant unclaimed rewards, and Proxy Studio is working to make these accessible as soon as possible.

  • Fee shares were adjusted post-launch, but the distribution follows the terms outlined at launch to maintain fairness.

Acknowledging the challenges of managing the success of this experiment, Proxy Studio is hiring and fully committed to growing both Farcaster and Base as they move forward. Access the spreadsheet here.

  1. Degen Polls Europe-Based Users on Branded Visa Card

Degen has launched a poll for Europe-based users to gauge interest in a DEGEN-branded Visa card. The proposed card would feature:

  • Zero fees with "pay what you see" transparency

  • Your ENS name displayed front and center

  • Direct integration with your on-chain wallet

Degen invites users to comment and vote if interested, noting that higher demand could accelerate the card's launch.
